Police Service – Crime Desk

The RCIPS Crime Desk is a centralized area of the RCIPS, where many reports from the public are reported and logged and officers are dispatched via the 911 communication system. The Crime Desk is often the main point of contact for members of the public requesting information about crimes and investigations.
The operator answering your call will need to know exactly where the assistance is needed and why, and will ask for your own name and number. However you will not be compelled to give your name in order for the call to be acted upon and for help to arrive.

You will be asked a series of questions which are designed to ensure you receive the appropriate response and assistance.
In person: You can attend any of our police stations to make a report in person. Our front desk staff will be happy to assist you.
