Police Service - Crime Stoppers

Cayman Crime Stoppers is a charitable, non-profit organisation which relies on community partnerships. It began in 1993 and was started through the Chamber of Commerce. Cayman Crime Stoppers depends on a tri-partnership between the public, the media, and the RCIPS in order to be successful. Through the cooperation of Cable and Wireless, the Cayman Crime Stoppers information hotline is completely toll free. The number is 800-TIPS (8477). Despite common misconception, 800-TIPS, is NOT answered here in Cayman, NOR are the calls recorded, NOR does it use a caller ID system or any other form of technology to determine who is calling in with information. Calls are answered either in South Florida, or Canada. The number is operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
