The DEH protects the public from environmental health hazards through activities including waste collection, food hygiene and health and safety inspections. It consists of 8 sections: Solid waste, District sanitation, Food hygiene and safety, Environmental engineering, Health & safety inspections, Public education, Environmental laboratory, and Administration & management.
